<description>Keiko is coming to Hollywood! Join the Free WIlly&#45;Keiko Foundation for a special screening at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, CA.

After giving an astonishing performance in Free Willy in July 1993, it was quite a jolt when fans of Keiko discovered that, unlike his fictional counterpart, he was not free. This is the amazing story of what actually happened with Keiko. The film takes the viewer on Keiko’s journey, explores his strong will to survive, and enjoys his enormous embrace of his own freedom. Through first hand accounts by those who were there every day, the film follows Keiko, his life, his legacy, and the untold story of his extraordinary years of ‘freedom’ in Iceland and Norway where he thrived before his death in 2003.

<description>We live in a digital age, in which video chatting with someone in another country is often easier than visiting a friend across town. At the same time, we rely on physical spaces to facilitate connection and meaning — whether through a game of basketball at the YMCA, a visit to a village market, or a movement such as Occupy. What role do face&#45;to face relationships play in today’s society, and how can we become closer in a world that privileges communication at a distance?

Join The David Brower Center for a festive wine reception celebrating the opening of Almost Together, and mingle with the many talented artists represented in the exhibit.
